GOVERNMENT HOUSE.
HONGKONG. 17th. March, 1916.
I have the honour to state that Mr. N. G.
Mitchell-Innes, formerly Treasurer in Hongkong and now employed
under the Home Office, has asked for particulars of the pension
that will eventually become due to him from the funds of this
Colony.
2.
I enclose a form showing details of Mr.
Mitchell-Innes's service. It will be seen that he was on leave
without salary from the 5th. August to the 30th. November, 1896,
and it is understood that this leave was granted in order to
prevent a break in his service. I shall be glad if this point may be verified, as, if the leave was not granted on grounds of public policy, it does not count for pension.
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient,
humble servant,
